1. Who We Are

Vokryn is a Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) providing SMS, voice, and messaging APIs across Africa and beyond. Vokryn is operated by Vukori Capital & Infrastructure. Privacy enquiries: [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

We collect:

  • Account data: Name, email address, company name, billing address.
  • Payment data: Billing records and subscription status. Card details are processed by Stripe and never stored by us.
  • API usage data: API call logs, message metadata (sender, recipient numbers, timestamps, delivery status), and usage volumes for billing and reporting.
  • Message content: SMS bodies and call metadata stored to generate delivery receipts and usage reports. We do not read message content for any purpose other than delivering the Service.
  • Technical data: IP addresses, API keys (stored as one-way hashes), and browser/client information for security and support.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and deliver the Service
  • To generate billing records and invoices
  • To provide delivery receipts and usage analytics
  • To send transactional emails (invoices, security alerts, API notifications)
  • To investigate abuse, spam, and fraud
  • We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising

4. Sub-Processors

To deliver the Service, we work with third-party infrastructure providers across the following categories: database and authentication, payment processing, transactional email, SMS and voice carrier networks, and number management. Each provider operates under contractual data protection obligations.

5. Message Content and Carrier Obligations

As a CPaaS provider, we transmit messages on your behalf through carrier networks. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

  • Message content passes through carrier infrastructure and is subject to carrier terms
  • Carriers may inspect content for compliance with anti-spam and lawful interception requirements
  • We retain message logs for 12 months for delivery reporting and dispute resolution

6. Data Retention

We retain account data for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation. Message logs are retained for 12 months. API keys are invalidated immediately upon deletion. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time.

7. Security

API keys are stored as one-way hashes. Sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256. All data in transit uses TLS 1.2 or higher. We conduct regular security reviews.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Ghana. For users in other jurisdictions, applicable local data protection regulations also apply where required by law.

10. Changes

We will notify you by email of material changes to this policy at least 14 days before they take effect.
